Department
R & D
Location
Aars, Denmark
Contract type
Full time
Application deadline
22 September 2025

We’re looking for a sharp, organised Technical Documentation Specialist to create clear, audit-ready documentation for our heat pump products (CE/PED/EMC) and build a smooth, reusable process from development to production. If you’re great at breaking down complex ideas and keeping things on track, we’d love to hear from you!

What you’ll do

  • Take charge of our documentation: organise, version, and create checklists to keep everything spot on.
  • Write and update manuals for design, installation, operation, and service, including visuals, spare parts lists, and safety information.
  • Ensure compliance with CE/PED standards, covering technical dossiers, risk assessments, and standards like EN 378-2 or EN 60204-1.
  • Handle EMC documentation: plan tests, work with labs, and manage reports.
  • Set up FAT procedures, test protocols, and certificates.
  • Coordinate EPD data collection and work with third parties for verification.
  • Manage translations (English, Danish, German, French, Polish) and ensure quality.
  • Build templates and tools using MKDocs, Pandoc, LaTeX, or similar, plus style guides.
  • Team up with our mechanical, electrical, controls, production, quality, and procurement teams.

Your first 90 days

  • Days 0–30: Review current documents, identify gaps, and plan the path to production. Set up checklists, style guides, and release gates.
  • Days 30–60: Draft installation and operation manuals, prepare EMC test plans, start EPD data, and get translations underway.
  • Days 60–90: Deliver audit-ready documents for a key project (manuals, FAT, EMC), finalise translations, and establish a solid QA process.

What success looks like

  • Audit-ready CE/PED/EMC packages for each project.
  • Meet monthly document completion targets.
  • Resolve audit findings before production begins.
  • Quick turnaround on document updates.
  • On-time, error-free translations.

What you bring

  • 3–5+ years as a technical writer or documentation engineer in HVAC, energy, or machinery.
  • Experience with CE technical dossiers and standards like EN 378-2, EN 60204-1, or EMC (EN 61000 series). Bonus if you know PED!
  • Comfortable reading P&IDs, electrical schematics, and BOMs, with an understanding of production flow.
  • Familiar with Git, Jira, or Confluence (or similar tools).
  • Strong written skills in Danish and English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of R290/flammable refrigerants and safety sections.
  • Experience with EMC testing or EPD/LCA processes.
  • Skills in MkDocs, Pandoc, LaTeX, Illustrator, Inkscape, and image editing.

Who you are

  • Highly organised and detail focused.
  • Great at ensuring traceability.
  • A team player who can lead cross-functional reviews.
  • Able to keep up the pace without cutting corners.
  • Skilled at making complex topics clear and simple.

Why join us?

  • Competitive salary based on your skills.
  • Pension scheme and health insurance.
  • Six weeks of paid holiday.
  • Shape documentation standards across multiple projects
  • Collaborate across the organisation to drive project success.
